What’s in a face?

The capture of an emotion or the true feeling of a person through a photograph is not only a challenge, it is one of the most rewarding aspects in photography for me. I learned early on in my career that to photograph people well, that you first need to make a connection with that person. Sometimes you have very little time to do this, and sometimes you are unable to do so. If someone is stressed or uncomfortable it is close to impossible to capture the personality of that person. In some cases you can only get a glimpse of the “real” person when they let there guard down or get distracted from the task at hand. I have been fortunate enough to have photographed hundreds of people from all aspects of life. This is something that never gets old.

Here are a few of my recent favorites.
